Mobile laboratory tables give lab managers and facility planners the flexibility to reconfigure workspaces without a full renovation. They are a practical choice for labs that share space across departments, handle rotating equipment, or need to adapt workflow zones as projects change. The same chemical resistance and load capacity expected from fixed lab furniture is built into CatLabPro’s mobile tables, with the added benefit of castors that allow the table to be repositioned as needed.

Construction and Materials

CatLabPro mobile laboratory tables are built on powder-coated steel frames in Glacier White, with fully welded construction for structural stability. Each table ships with a 3/4″ black phenolic resin top, finished on four sides, and includes non-marking castors in a two-locking, two-swivel configuration. The locking castors allow the table to be secured in place during use, then released for repositioning. All models support up to 1,000 lbs. of equipment load.

Phenolic resin is chemical resistant and non-porous, making it suitable for wet lab applications, general research, medical, industrial, and educational environments. The surface does not support bacterial growth and can be disinfected with standard lab-grade cleaning products.

All products are SEFA 8 compliant and require only minor assembly with a screwdriver.

Available Configurations

CatLabPro stocks mobile tables in two widths and two height options, covering the most common lab workstation configurations.

The 72″ wide x 30″ deep standing height model (MT1A72) is a full six-foot bench at 35″ nominal height, priced at $940.00. The 72″ wide ADA-height version (MT1C72) offers the same footprint at 33.25″ nominal height, also at $940.00, and is suitable for seated or ADA-compliant workstation setups. The 48″ wide standing height model (MT1A48) measures 48″ wide x 30″ deep x 36″ high at $830.00, and the 48″ wide ADA-height version (MT1C48) provides the same compact footprint at ADA height for $830.00.

All four models are in stock. Tabletops are available in black, white, and grey finishes.

Selecting the Right Mobile Table

The primary decisions are width and working height. The 72″ models suit full workstation runs where a researcher needs extended bench space. The 48″ models work well as secondary or satellite benches, equipment staging areas, or supplemental workspace in tighter floor plans. For labs with accessibility requirements or seated workflows, the ADA-height models are the appropriate choice at 33.25″ nominal height.

If you are unsure which configuration suits your layout, contact CatLabPro for a consultation. The team can help you match table dimensions to your floor plan and workflow.

FAQs

What makes a balance table different from a standard lab table?

A balance table is specifically engineered to reduce vibration transfer to the work surface. This is typically achieved through isolation pads or mounts between the top and the base structure. A standard lab table does not include this mechanism and is not suitable for applications where surface stability directly affects measurement accuracy.

What surface materials are used on laboratory balance tables?

Dense, dimensionally stable materials are preferred for balance table tops. CatLabPro’s current balance table features a black granite top, which provides the rigidity and mass needed to support accurate readings from precision instruments.

What is the weight capacity of CatLabPro mobile laboratory tables?

All mobile laboratory tables in this category support up to 1,000 lbs. of equipment load.

How do the castors work on CatLabPro mobile tables?

Each table ships with four non-marking castors: two locking and two swivel. The locking castors keep the table stationary during work; releasing them allows the table to be repositioned freely. Non-marking castors protect the floor surface from scuffing.

Are mobile laboratory tables available in ADA-compliant heights?

Yes. CatLabPro offers ADA-height mobile tables in both 48″ and 72″ widths. The ADA models are 33.25″ in nominal height, suitable for seated use and ADA-compliant workstation configurations.

What tabletop material is used on CatLabPro mobile tables?

All models come with a 3/4″ black phenolic resin top, finished on four sides. Phenolic resin is chemical resistant, non-porous, and suitable for a wide range of laboratory applications, from general research and education to medical and industrial environments.

Do mobile tables require installation?

No professional installation is required. All models need only minor assembly, which can be completed with a screwdriver.

Can I use a mobile table as a primary workbench or just as supplemental furniture?

Mobile tables in this range are built to the same standards as fixed lab tables and can function as primary workbenches. Their mobility makes them equally useful as supplemental benches, staging areas, or reconfigurable workspace in labs where layouts change regularly.
